South Lake Drive is closed between Maiden Lane and Roberts Street due to a collision and power lines down.

The Lexington Police Department say South Lake Drive will remain shut down during rush hour, and are advising commuters to use an alternate route.

Officials also say expect power outages in parts of downtown Lexington.

Drivers are asked to avoid this area, and the use detour route of Maiden Lane, Church St. and Gibson Road.

SCE&G crews are currently working hard to repair the damage.
