Photo Gallery | Lexington One employees receive awards from SCECA

 

Three Lexington County School District One teachers and one administrator received awards or grants from the South Carolina Early Childhood Association.

Shauna Buczkowski and Deni Titcomb from Meadow Glen Elementary received grants from the association that they used to purchase supplies for their classrooms.

Gilbert Elementary’s Judy Whitesell received the Outstanding District VII Member Award. Whitesell received the award in recognition of her dedicated service to the organization. District VII includes Calhoun, Clarendon, Lexington, Orangeburg, Richland and Sumter counties.

SCECA also selected Tim Oswald, principal at Gilbert Elementary, as their Administrator of the Year.

Oswald was nominated and received the award based on his commitment to using best practices for educating young children. The association also recognized his efforts to encourage and facilitate professional development opportunities for his staff.
