Photo Gallery | Suspects steal skid steer from construction site

 

The Lexington Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the individual(s) involved in the theft and subsequent “stripping” of parts from a Komatsu Skid Steer.

Police say around 6:20 pm on Sunday February 24, unknown individual(s) stole a yellow Komatsu Skid Steer similar to the one shown in the above photo from a construction site on Sunset Boulevard in the Town of Lexington. 

According to police, the suspects drove the skid steer away to a different location where they removed various parts of equipment leaving behind the skid steer.

Surveillance video captured a vehicle that is believed to be involved in the theft.

According to the video, two occupants of the vehicle were seen walking around the area and skid steer Saturday evening.

In the video, the same vehicle returns not long before the skid steer is removed.  

The vehicle is a gold Chrysler minivan that has a dent above the right rear tire and also on the top.
