Lexington County Sheriff’s Department detectives are asking for the community’s assistance in identifying a suspect who illegally entered motor vehicles that were left unlocked at an auto repair shop.
According to Sheriff James Metts, between 5:40 a.m. and 6 a.m. on January 15, February 19 and February 21, radios were stolen from vehicles that were parked at Gilbert Tire and Auto, 4233 Augusta Highway, Gilbert.
Surveillance video captured the suspect on the above dates, walking around the parking lot at the business and entering vehicles that had been left unlocked, Metts said.
The suspect is described as white middle-aged male last seen driving a two-tone, white-and-gray Jeep Cherokee sport utility vehicle, the report stated.
