Investigators with the Aiken Department of Public Safety arrested a man wanted for armed robbery.
Officers arrested 23-year-old Marcus Antwan Washington of Beech Island, SC, Wednesday afternoon in Augusta, Georgia.
Authorities say Washington has been charged with armed robbery in connection with the October 23, armed robbery of an individual at the Knights Inn located at 1850 Richland Avenue West in Aiken, SC.
According to the report, Washington is currently incarcerated at the Richmond County Detention Center.
The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office, South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED), Aiken County Sheriff’s Office (ACSO), and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) R.A.G.E. Unit assisted in the apprehension of Washington.
A second suspect, 23-year-old Kevin Jamell Walker of Clearwater, SC, was arrested on October, 30th, investigators say.
Walker was charged with armed robbery and possession of a firearm during a violent crime. Walker is currently incarcerated at the Aiken County Detention Center.
