Officers with the Lexington County Multi-Agency Narcotics Enforcement Team (NET) arrested a West Columbia man and woman on charges that the two operated a clandestine methamphetamine laboratory at their home on Pinecrest Drive near West Columbia.

Deputies say 32-year-old Brandon Tramell Sulton and 42-year-old Regina Williams Wangness were arrested on an arrest warrant on a charge of second-offense manufacturing methamphetamine. Wangness was arrested on an arrest warrant on a charge of manufacturing methamphetamine.

According to a news release, on Thursday at 1:14 a.m., NET officers executed a search warrant at the Pinecrest Drive home where Sulton and Wangness live.

Officers found that Sulton and Wangness were actively operating a clandestine methamphetamine laboratory at the residence, using two mason jars and two reaction vessels to manufacture methamphetamine, according to sheriff’s deputies.

Officers arrested Sulton and Wangness at the home.

Sulton and Wangness were being held on Thursday at the Lexington County Detention Center while awaiting bond hearings.
