Lexington County Sheriff James R. Metts promoted two Lexington County Sheriff’s Department deputies to serve as assistant supervisors on road patrol shifts, one deputy to serve as a fugitive investigator and one deputy to serve as a victim assistance officer.
Metts promoted Anthony Adam Creech, 29, of Irmo, to the rank of master deputy and assigned Creech to serve as the assistant supervisor of a road patrol shift in the West Region Patrol District, which is based near Gilbert. Creech previously served as a field training officer on a road patrol shift in the West Region Patrol District. On August 24, 2009, Metts appointed Creech to serve as a deputy.
In addition, Metts promoted Brian E. Hinz, 32, of West Columbia, to the rank of master deputy and assigned Hinz to serve as the assistant supervisor of a road patrol shift in the West Region Patrol District. Hinz previously served as a K-9 deputy with the K-9 Unit. On August 20, 2001, Metts appointed Hinz to serve as a deputy.
Metts promoted Shannon P. Radford, 38, of Cayce, to serve as a fugitive investigator in the Warrant Division. Radford previously served as a K-9 deputy in the K-9 Unit. On October 17, 2005, Metts appointed Radford to serve as a deputy.
In addition, Metts promoted David D. Wood, 37, of Lexington, to serve as a victim assistance officer in the Major Crimes Unit. Wood previously served as a road patrol deputy in the South Region Patrol District, which is based in Pelion. On January 12, 2009, Metts appointed Wood to serve as a deputy.
