LMES receives multiple grants

Lake Murray Elementary Assistant Principal Tim Livingston, Technology Integration Specialist Brenda Maxwell and Fourth-Grade Teacher Kimberly Nunnery receive a Kroger Earning Plus Learning Program Grant from Tregg Player from Kroger.
Clifford Keefe, manager of Walmart in Lexington, draws 10 lucky teachers’ names for $100 gift cards.

Lake Murray Elementary School recently received grants and support from local businesses.

Fourth-Grade Teacher Kimberly Nunnery and Technology Integration Specialist Brenda Maxwell received a $1,500 Kroger Earning Plus Learning Program Grant. The money will help expand the school’s recycling efforts to include aluminum can recycling.

LMES also received a $1,000 grant from Walmart to help implement The Leader in Me™ program at the school. In addition to the grant, 10 lucky teachers received $100 Walmart gift cards to spend on supplies for their classroom.
