Lexington County Treasurer: Changing the way taxpayers get receipts will save money

Changing the way Lexington County handles vehicle tax receipts will result in significant savings, Lexington County Treasurer Jim Eckstrom said Monday.

Under a new initiative championed by Eckstrom, Lexington County vehicle tax-payers on Thursday will begin receiving their receipts directly from the Department of Motor Vehicles at the same time they receive their registration and decal.
