LCSD: Civilian Employee Of The Quarter

Lexington County Sheriff James R. Metts honored Senior Administrative Assistant Jennifer “Jennie” Wilfong as the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department Civilian Employee of the Quarter for the third quarter of 2012 during an employee awards ceremony that Metts conducted on November 15.

Wilfong, 37, of Lexington, works in the Human Resources Division, Metts said. The sheriff hired Wilfong on May 18, 2008.

Applicants for jobs at the Sheriff’s Department regularly interact with Wilfong, who processes all the paperwork that job applicants submit to the agency, Metts said.

Come Out To The "Christmas Bazaar" On December 1st

The “Christmas Bazaar” will take place on December 1st in order to raise money to help Lexington High School student, Kaylee, study and travel in Europe.

The event will take place at the West Columbia PH Church, which is located at 2310 Platt Springs Road in West Columbia from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. There will be more than 20 vendors, food, an auction, a bake sale, a raffle and more.

The event is FREE and open to the public.
