Lexington One announces WKES principal

— At the April 9, 2013 special called board meeting of the Lexington County School District One Board of Trustees, the board approved the administration’s recommendation to hire Robert C. Grant Jr. as principal at White Knoll Elementary School for the 2013–2014 school year. Grant replaces Janet H. Malone, who was named principal of Deerfield Elementary School at the January 15, 2013 board meeting.

IT-oLogy is proud to announce the South Carolina Affiliate Aspirations in Computing Awards (Aspirations) presentation to be held on Saturday, April 27, 2013 to honor five South Carolina high school women for receiving the Aspirations in Computing Awards. The award is sponsored by the National Center for Women & Information Technology (NCWIT). South Carolina affiliate partners include IT-oLogy, Winthrop University and the SC Regional Education Centers.

Capitol Senior Center renaming celebration set for April 18

Come out and join community members in celebrating the legacy of the late Senator Isadore Lourie as the Capital Senior Center is renamed "The Lourie Center".

The Capital Senior Center Renaming Celebration will take place on April 18th from 5 p.m.-8 p.m. The celebration will include heavy hors d’oeuvres, cocktails and live entertainment. Tickets and sponsorship opportunities are available.

Senator Lindsey Graham Visits with Town of Lexington Leaders

 

United States Senator Lindsey Graham will visit with Town of Lexington leaders on Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at 1:30pm. The meeting will be hosted at the Lexington Municipal Complex Main Lobby.

 

Senator Graham will meet with the Mayor and members of Town Council along with senior Town Staff.  The meeting will discuss the Town’s Unified Traffic Plan, Vision Plan, Project Icehouse and will include a tour of downtown Lexington’s Main St. and conclude at the new Greater Lexington Chamber and Visitor’s Center Building located at 311 W. Main St.
