Report: Suspects use "oldest trick in the book" to steal cartons of cigarettes

The Lexington County Sheriff’s Department is looking for a group of  thieves who's using one of the oldest tricks in the book to steal cigarettes from a local store.

According to the report, deputies are searching for five suspects, two females and three males, they say used a distraction technique to aid them in theft of nine cartons of cigarettes from Pantry Express located on Saint Andrews Road in Lexington County.

On May 10, around 6 p.m. the group entered the store.

The Palladium Society, the young professionals society of Historic Columbia Foundation, continues its Renovation Rodeo tour series on May 21, featuring a home in Shandon.

 

This private tour series is a roundup of old homes in the Columbia area that have been refurbished and renovated while staying true to the roots and history of the house. Attendees get to see the renovation first hand while speaking with the homeowner and contractor who worked on the project.
