OGES teacher receives PalmettoPride grant

Oak Grove Elementary Third-Grade Teacher Amy Case received a $1,329 PalmettoPride Litter Trashes Everyone Educational grant.

Oak Grove Elementary used the grant money to purchase recycling bins for the school’s Recycling Program led by Case. Students from all grade levels can participate in the program, which teaches students the importance of recycling.

The school also plans to hold a Clean-Up day in the spring where students will have the opportunity to help pick up trash along Oak Drive in front of the school.
