Pelion High needs your vote to win $60,000 | News
Earlier this year, Pelion High School applied to the Follett Challenge, a program run by Follett to recognize and reward schools for their work applying technology, content and creativity in ways that engage students, foster literacy and promote critical thinking.
As part of the competition, PHS broadcast production students created a short video highlighting the new Learning Commons at Pelion High. “A Space for 21st Century Learners” explains the three parts of the Learning Commons the Open Commons, the Experimental Learning Center and the Virtual Learning Commons. Students tour the different sections demonstrating how the spaces support communication, creativity, collaboration and critical thinking.
The video is now posted on the Follett Challenge website for the public to vote for their favorite school, which will count for 30% of the school’s total entry. Six winning schools will be awarded with the cash-equivalent of a total of $200,000 worth of products and services.
By viewing their video and casting your vote, you will help them spread the word about the innovative Learning Commons at PHS and win $60,000.
You can cast one vote per day from now until March 18, 2013. Click here to vote for PHS.
