Lexington County School District One Superintendent Karen Woodward congratulates the Pelion Middle Student Council, represented by co-sponsor Leslie Hamby, student council members Alex Bass, Jessica Hyder and Macey McLaurin, and co-sponsor Joe Casey, for receiving the Commanding General’s Helping Hands Award from the United States Army.
Fort Jackson’s commanding general, Brig. Gen. Mark Roberts, presented the award to Pelion Middle for collecting items for military care packages sent to soldiers during the holidays.
