Lexington One teachers attend Science PLUS Institute | News
Lexington County School District One Superintendent Karen Woodward congratulates White Knoll Middle Teacher Laurie Jordan and Rocky Creek Elementary Teacher Heather Coker for being selected to participate in the 2012 Science PLUS Institute.
Jordan and Coker attended hands-on classes that emphasize South Carolina Science Academic Standards, science process skills and inquiry-based instruction. They also received science materials and supplies for their classroom.
The Institute offers seven different one-week classes throughout the year that give intensive training in science teaching methods and provide teachers with resources for hands-on science activities.
