PHS celebrates Teen Read Week | News
The Pelion High Learning Commons staff celebrated Teen Read Week with special events and programs to encourage teens to read more often and to take advantage of the resources available at the school’s Learning Commons.
During the week, teachers and students shared their favorite books. One of the most popular activities involved students guessing which book belonged to which teacher. Leondra Jackson won the contest by correctly matching all the books with the correct teachers.
Jackson was very supportive of the program saying, “We have more activities to fill our free time than ever, and it’s important that we realize reading is something we can do for fun and will translate into better performance at school.”
