Sheriff: Missing woman located; left on own free will | News
A 38-year-old Lexington woman who was reported missing on March 20 was located by investigators on Tuesday.
Lexington County Sheriff’s Department Deputies say detectives learned of the whereabouts of Amy Nicole Hill after she was seen on a convenience store surveillance camera in Summerville, SC on March, 16 at approximately 7:00 p.m.
Detectives say that Hill left Lexington County of her own free will and was located safely in the Summerville area.
Prior to discovering her whereabouts, Hill’s father, Larry Dean Roberts, reported her missing to the Sheriff’s Department.
Officers say Hill was last seen on March 16 at the home of her estranged boyfriend, James Jason Kirkland.
Kirkland told deputies that Hill was at his residence when he left for work that day.
When Kirkland returned home, he told deputies that Hill was not at his residence and that her purse and backpack were missing.
