University of Phoenix Columbia To Host Entrepreneur Event On February 12th | Events
University of Phoenix® School of Business invites prospective and current entrepreneurs to a special event to learn about resources essential for entrepreneurial success. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, entrepreneurship plays a vital role in the growth of the U.S. economy. However, only 51 percent of new employer firms, businesses with two to 500 employees, survive at least five years.
The event will take place on Tuesday, February 12 from 6-9 p.m. on the University of Phoenix Columbia Campus. The campus is located at Pinnacle Point Drive in Columbia.
At the event, University of Phoenix staff and faculty, along with local entrepreneurs, will share important information on the following topics:
Beginning Your Start-up Workshop – Attendees will learn how to bring a business idea to fruition by determining if the idea is feasible and provides a solution to fulfilling a consumer need.
Starting Your Own Business Workshop – Attendees will learn how to develop an idea into a business concept and how to create a business plan that serves as a blueprint for the future direction of the new business.
Creative Ways to Fund Your Startup Workshop – Attendees will learn creative methods to generate funding to start their new business.
