Sign-Up For The Splash And Dash Adventure Race on August 25th | Events

Are you ready for an adventure?  On Saturday, August 25, The Irmo Chapin Recreation Commission is hosting the third annual Splash and Dash Adventure Race at 8:30 a.m. at Saluda Shoals Park.

This fun-filled amateur athletic team challenge combines mountain biking, trail running on varied terrain and paddling on the Saluda River which is perfect for any skill level.  Teams must complete each section of the course and finish the race together in the fastest time to win. 

Teams should consist of three people who are ages 18 and older. Each team can compete in one of the following divisions: co-ed, all male or all female. Each team must provide the following equipment for every team member: Mountain bike, helmet, running gear, and equipment for the transition area (water bottles, ice, food, first aid kit).  Matching team shirts are encouraged!  Canoes, paddles, life jackets and race bibs will be provided. Unique trophies will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place teams in each division.

The race fee is $75 per team before August 10, 2012; $100 per team on or after August 11, 2012. Registration is non refundable. Team rosters can be finalized race day.
