Lexington man arrested in meth lab bust | Crime
LEXINGTON, SC (WIS) - One man has been arrested in a meth lab investigation in Lexington County. Officers with the Lexington County Multi-Agency Narcotics Enforcement Team seized a meth lab operating out of a home on Two Notch Road near Lexington Monday night.
38-year-old Deandre Malcolm Black of YMCA Road in Lexington was charged with manufacturing meth. Also Black was detained on a warrant for failure to pay court-ordered child support of out Greenville County.
Black is awaiting a bond hearing at the Lexington County Detention Center.
Sheriff James Metts says investigators went to the house at about 10:30 p.m. Monday to investigate a tip that there was a meth lab there. As deputies approached the house, Metts says they saw Black run away. They caught up with him not far away in a wooded area and arrested him.
Metts says deputies found several pieces of evidence that a meth lab was operating on the property.
