Deputies say man arrested while riding stolen motorcycle | Crime
LEXINGTON COUNTY, SC (WIS) - A Gilbert man has been arrested after Lexington County Sheriff's deputies say they found him riding a motorcycle that had been reported stolen.
In addition to the stolen motorcycle 24-year-old Steven Anthony Dennis was riding, Sheriff James Metts says he had another one in his possession that was reported stolen. Metts says Dennis was driving with a suspended license.
Dennis was arrested last week on warrants alleging grand larceny, possession of a stolen vehicle, and driving with a suspended license. He was released from the Lexington County Detention Center Sunday after posting $16,275 bail.
Metts says he was arrested while riding a motorcycle on Neely Wingard Road near Gilbert that was reported stolen out of Aiken County.
Warrants say Dennis stole a motorcycle from outside a home on Windy Wood Road near Lexington. When detectives recovered the motorcycle, the ignition mechanism was damaged.
