Report: Suspect pries open Coca Cola machine, steals money | Crime
The Lexington County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a crime that is becoming more frequent in the Columbia area. According to the report, deputies are trying to figure out who is responsible for stealing money from a vending machine.
According to Sheriff James Metts, officers responded to the Food Lion located on St. Andrews Road in reference to a larceny.
The report said an unknown suspect pried open a Coca Cola machine that was in front of the store, and removed at least $100 from it.
According to the complainant, this same incident happened two months ago at the same location, but was not reported to law enforcement.
