Report: Facebook friend invades home, holds woman at gunpoint | Crime
Facebook may be a key factor in helping deputies nab one of two suspects who invaded a woman’s home and held her at gunpoint.
The report said on March 20 deputies were dispatched to Woodberry Road in reference to an armed robbery.
According to the victim, two suspects came into her home and stole several items.
The victim told deputies she was inside her house watching TV, when she observed the door to her residence open up. The victim then observed two men standing in her doorway.
According to the report, one of the suspects stated “hey, what’s up,” and then forced the woman to the bedroom of her residence.
The victim told deputies the armed suspect held her at gunpoint for five minutes, while the other suspect stole her belongings.
The suspects then fled the home.
When deputies arrived, the victim advised officers that she recognized the gunman as one of her friends on Facebook.
According to the victim, she’s never met the suspect in person until the robbery, but was able to identify him through Facebook photos.
The suspect with the gun is described as a dark-skinned black male, 5’01”-5’02”, with a skinny build, last seen wearing a white t-shirt, blue jeans and black shoes.
The second suspect is described as a light-skinned black male with short curled dreadlocks.
