Report: $3K worth of copper stolen from house of worship | Crime
The Lexington County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the theft of $3000 worth of copper from a local place of worship.
The report said officers were dispatched to the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses located on Highway 321 in reference to a larceny on March 7.
Upon arrival, deputies met with the congregation secretary who advised them that someone disassembled the exterior air condition unit and stole its copper components, the report stated.
According to the report, the air conditioning unit copper components are valued at $3000.
