Man wanted for escape, weapon and drug charges | Crime

Aiken Public Safety is asking for the community’s assistance in locating a man wanted for escape, weapon, and drug charges.

Officers are searching for 33-year-old Marrio Sherard Parker.

According to a report, officers initiated a traffic stop after observing Parker speeding on Whiskey Road. As officers approached the vehicle, they detected an odor of marijuana coming from the car.

Parker was then arrested for marijuana, and during a search of the vehicle a pistol was located under the driver's seat, the report stated.

While escorting Parker to the patrol vehicle he was able to break free and flee the area on foot.

 A search of the area was unsuccessful in locating Parker.

Officers say Parker should be considered armed and dangerous.
