Church burglarized; five gallon jug filled with money stolen | Crime
The Lexington County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a burglary at a local church.
On February 14, deputies responded to Dolorosa Worship Center located on Old Charleston Road in reference to a burglary.
Upon arrival, officers met with two employees who stated when they arrived at the church they noticed one of the back windows had been broken, according to Sheriff James Metts.
The employees told deputies when they left the building the night before, all the doors to the church were locked.
The report said a digital camera and a five gallon jug containing $800 was taken from the church.
