Report: Men robbed at gunpoint after making wrong turn | Crime
The Lexington County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a robbery that occurred after two men made a wrong turn into a mobile home park.
The report said officers were dispatched to Scenic Drive in reference to a robbery that occurred at 1515 Busbee Road on Thursday.
Upon arrival, deputies met with the victims who stated that five men robbed them at gunpoint.
According to the report, the men were traveling on Busbee Road to meet up with a friend, when the driver made a wrong turn into a mobile home park.
Deputies say the victims drove up to a man waving at the vehicle.
When the man approached the vehicle, he pulled out a shotgun and told the victim’s to get out the car.
The victims exited the car, and four other men showed up armed with guns.
The suspects then began to frisk both of the victims.
Deputies say the five men took two cell phones, a pack of cigarettes, a driver license, a GPS system and $140 in cash.
The report describes the suspects as black males, all wearing dark hooded sweatshirts. Deputies say two of the suspects were described as “bouncer” looking guys.
