Authorities: Man arrested after threatening police officer | Crime

An Aiken man was arrested by SLED agents in connection with making a threat against a police officer.

Police say 23-year-old Willie Maurice Franklin was charged with one count of threatening a public official, a misdemeanor with a penalty upon conviction of up to five years in prison, a $5,000 fine or both.

Franklin was booked at the Aiken County Detention Center.
