Report: Driver tries to run over repo man | Crime

Lexington County Sheriff’s deputies say a driver whose car was suppose to be repossessed attempted to run over a repo man.

Deputies say on Nov. 29, around 6 a.m. officers responded to Glenn Road in reference to an assault.

Upon arrival, officers met with the 27-year-old victim who stated that he was attempting to recover a vehicle located on Highway 321 when the driver of the vehicle he was suppose to retrieve attempted to run him over, the report stated.

Deputies say the victim had to jump out of the path of the vehicle to avoid being injured.

The vehicle is described as a black 1998 GMC pickup truck.

Deputies continue to investigate.
