Report: Couple steals Clemson tents from outside Piggly Wiggly | Crime
The Lexington County Sheriff’s Department is seeking a man and woman they say stole two tailgating tents from outside of a store.
According to an incident report, on September 24 officers responded to Piggly Wiggly located on Highway 378 in reference to a larceny.
Upon arrival, officers made contact with the store manager who advised them a black male and female stole two Clemson tailgating tents from outside the store, according to sheriff’s deputies.
Deputies say the tents were placed outside the front entrance of the store.
According to the report, the manger observed the couple pull up in a 2005 Mitsubishi Lancer to where the tents were stationed.
Deputies say they couple exited the car, grabbed a tent and tossed it in the back of the vehicle before fleeing the scene.
According to the manager, the estimated value of the tents is $428.
