Suspect steals Ohio State football flag, replaces with Gamecock flag | Crime

A Buckeye fan contacted law enforcement after discovering that someone stole an Ohio State football flag from her porch.

According to a Lexington County Sheriff’s Department incident report, officers responded to a woman’s home located on Stanley Court in reference to a larceny on Friday.

Upon arrival, deputies met with the 52-year-old woman who told officers that someone had stolen her Ohio State football flag from her porch and replaced it with a University of South Carolina Gamecock flag, the report stated.

Deputies say the woman wondered if the incident was racially motivated, but officers advised the Buckeye fan that this may be nothing more than a prank.
