Underage male steals liquor from store | Crime
An underage male may have let his two friends Jack and Johnnie get him in hot water, after deputies say he stole two bottles of liquor from a store.
According to a Lexington County Sheriff’s Department incident report, on August 11 officers responded to a shoplifting call at a liquor store located on Pond Branch Road in Gilbert.
Upon arrival, deputies met with a store employee who stated that a white male entered the store and left with two liquor bottles without paying, the report stated.
The employee told officers she was standing outside the store, when an “underage” male entered the store alone, according to sheriff’s deputies.
Deputies say the worker followed the suspect inside the store and observed him grab a bottle of Jack Daniels and a bottle of Johnnie Walker off the shelf and exit out the front door.
The employee said she followed the suspect around the side of the building and saw him get into a green Ford Thunderbird driven by another male, the report stated.
The bottles of liquor were estimated at $50 each.
