LEXINGTON, SC (WIS) - Two men have been arrested after law enforcement officers say they found them running a methamphetamine lab out of a home in Batesburg.
Thursday officers with the Lexington County Multi-Agency Narcotics Enforcement Team arrested 34-year-old William Fox and 51-year-old-David Kirkland, both of Batesburg. They are charged with distributing methamphetamine. Fox is charged with possession of a gun during the commission of a violent crime.
They are awaiting bond hearings at the Lexington County Detention Center.
Investigators say the two were making meth in a lab in Fox's home on Mabus Road.
After receiving complaints from people who live in the area, investigators conducted surveillance on the home. Officers say they witnessed numerous people going to the house and leaving within a short time, indicating possible drug sales.
