With Veterans Day coming up, a Red Cross volunteer by the name of Ginny Parrish-Loy, spotlights two other volunteers named Dan and Al who both happen to be veterans. According to Red Cross workers, these two guys come in everyday from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. and blend in as regular staff.

$1 House Museum Tour Admission For Active Military And Their Families

 $1 House Museum Tour Admission For Active Military And Their Families

In honor of Military Appreciation Week at Historic Columbia Foundation (November 6-12, 2011), $1 house museum tours for active military and their family are being offered.  For just $1/person, a historic house museum tour of Robert Mills House, Hampton-Preston Mansion, or Mann-Simons Site can be enjoyed.  Or, tours of all three historic house museums is being offered for just $9 (a savings of $9). Tours are offered Sunday from 1 pm – 5 pm and Tuesday through Saturday from 10 am – 4 pm (last tour starts at 3 pm).
