The South Carolina State Museum has just what you’re looking for with its Young Detectives of Lost Civilizations Camp-ins this season. The first private group camp-in is available Friday, March 22, and later dates also are available.

Lexington County Sheriff James R. Metts on Tuesday, March 5 presented the Sheriff’s Medal, which is the highest law enforcement honor that the sheriff can bestow, to one veteran Lexington County Sheriff’s Department deputy who recently retired.

SC Peanut Board to Donate More Than 1,000 Jars of Peanut Butter to Harvest Hope Food Bank

 

What does a truck full of 1,024 jars of peanut butter look like?  Find out when the South Carolina Peanut Board (SCPB) delivers the donation to Harvest Hope Food Bank March 12 at 2 p.m. Harvest Hope is located at 2220 Shop Rd., Columbia.

South Carolina Commissioner of Agriculture Hugh Weathers and SCPB President Richard Rentz will present the donation. Each jar is made with South Carolina grown peanuts.
