LCSD Holds Third Annual Coats For Kids Drive

Lexington County Sheriff’s Department resident deputies and code enforcement officers will begin accepting donations of new or lightly used winter coats, gloves and hats on Monday, December 3rd, for Lexington County children who are in need of assistance.

Lexington County Sheriff James R. Metts said donations for the third annual Coats for Kids drive will be accepted until 5 p.m. on Monday, December 17th.  The coats, gloves and hats will be donated to Lexington Interfaith Community Services (LICS).

The new or lightly used coats, gloves and hats can dropped off at the following locations:

  1. Lexington County Sheriff James R. Metts Law Enforcement Complex, 521 Gibson Road, Lexington
  2. North Region Service Center, 111 Lincreek Drive, Columbia
  3. South Region Service Center, 102 Airport Road, Pelion
  4. West Region Headquarters, 4079-B Augusta Highway, Gilbert
  5. Tri-City Leisure Center, 485 Brooks Avenue, West Columbia
  6. Seven Oaks Park, 200 Leisure Lane, Columbia
  7. Crooked Creek Park, 1098 Old Lexington Highway, Chapin
