Town of Lexington Host 4th Annual Historic Preservation Awards | Community Spirit
The Town of Lexington hosted the 4th Annual Historic Preservation awards on Thursday, October 25 at the Palmetto Collegiate Institute.
This year’s recipients are:

205 West Main Street
Simmons-Harth Gantt House – Mr. Larry Gantt
102 Gantt Street
720 East Main Street
The Awards are administered by the Town’s Historic Preservation Review Board, which was founded in 1999 and created the awards program to recognize historic residential and commercial buildings that have been restored and strengthen the economy of the Town.
Criteria of the Program includes: the building must be listed on the Town’s Historic Inventory list, must be adaptively reused if it is a former residence turned commercial and if so, it must be restored to period and in keeping with the original integrity.
