Lexington will once again be the site of the 3rd annual May Day Benefit Festival , a free, family- friendly event to be held May 19th, 9 am-4pm at the Shoppes at Flight Deck complex in Lexington, 109 Old Chapin Road.
This fun event benefits The Chris Myers’ Home & Family Campus and The Animal Protection League (APL). It will feature many family friendly events including a best dressed pet contest, pet microchipping and pet adoptions, Inflatable kids fun houses, arts and craft vendors and activities, a giant 20 foot jelly bean, Car Safety seat checks with Lexington Police Department, giveaways, doorprizes and contests.
Also featured will be music by a number of well known local groups including Elton Mishoe and the Crystal River Band, fun numbers by the The Heart of Columbia Chorus, and an incredible artistic/music program by nationally know Dan Gardner with Drawing People to Jesus. Visitors can also get up close and touch some trucks with the huge new Tower Truck from Lexington County Fire Service and the incredible LifeNet Helicopter! Limited spaces are still available for arts and crafters, vendors, business displays, entertainers, and anybody who would like to participate in this fun event.
