Lizard’s Thicket announces plans to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the opening of the business’s first location of its family-owned and operated restaurants. The business will celebrate its 35 years in 35 days at each of its 15 locations beginning Monday, January 7, 2013.
The annual Girl Scout Cookie Program, the $790 million, largest girl-led business in the country, begins door-to-door sales on Friday, January 11 and ends January 27. The sales dates at local retail locations are weekends from February 22 – March 17. New this year will be a unique cookie, updated box designs and expanded eco-packaging.
In two weeks, the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department will conduct a blood drive in cooperation with the South Carolina chapter of the American Red Cross.
The blood drive will be conducted between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Tuesday, January 15 in the Squad Room at the Lexington County James R. Metts Law Enforcement Complex, 521 Gibson Road, Lexington. Lexington County Sheriff James R. Metts encourages citizens to participate in the blood drive.
